Reminders to return to a pinned location
Can we have a feature to set reminders to return to a location where we have identified a species? It would help for when we have made an identification but it's too early to forage or remembering where to check again next year.
Beginners Tab
Would be great to have a filter for beginners. Highly narrowed list (just a few in each category per season) featuring only plants that are plentiful/easy to find, easy to identify, few to no toxic lookalikes, and have a good payoff. Thanks for your consideration!
Distance
While I appreciate the default setting of 50 miles in the app, for some (especially those in larger metropolitan areas) that may mean still inside the city at the edge of the 50 mile limit. I don’t know about you, but there are some things that I would go the distance for. Like elderberries. Just watched your video on that. I’m sold! Then downloaded the app. But there aren’t any within 50 miles. Could you make it the default distance and allow the user to make it larger? Getting out there and going foraging will spark this fire that lights the movement. If I had to drive 150 miles to get elderberries, chances are very good that after a short period of time that on the way I will eventually able to identify more that I had missed previously and thus will be adding additional locations over time. Just have to get those first couple steps and momentum going. Great job, and thank you for all your efforts and information you are sharing. I especially appreciate the are you sure you want to click away pop up for iPhone. You are a visionary! No one else has done that yet and I constantly have to start over because of a click where I didn’t mean to click and it’s so frustrating!! Visionary. I mean that, bro! Keep it up, you’re an inspiration to us all.
Browser Application
Create a version of Gather that can be used on a desktop in a browser. Gauging interest in something like this!
Roadmap upgrade.
Distinguish filter and sort. Between plants that people want added vs app features, bug fixes, etc. Why? You need a common place for plant demand vs app demand. It will help everyone rec and vote better
Accessing plant profiles from your journal entries.
Just a convenience feature, can we have the capability to go to the profile of a plant we have made a journal entry on by tapping the species within the journal entry?
App Freezes
When I try to upload a photo of my Nemophila maculata, it doesn’t exist. When I try to “request a species,” the app freezes and I have to exit and reopen.
Is it possible to sort your finds by name or type?
Currently on free version and input a few but all my entries are by date. Can't sort my list or see a search option. Not sure if this is a paid feature.
A way to view all species, everywhere?
Is there, or can there be, a way to view the entire catalog of species regardless of location? When viewing all species for all months, it seems to be restricted to my location only. Thanks!
Incorporating falling fruit
I think it would be awsome if you incorporated falling fruit into the app
Bug deleting journal entry
I misidentified an early sprout and tried to delete the journal entry, but could not complete the action because the final confirmation “delete entry” underlaid my nav strip. It pops up directly beneath the “3 lines” icon. Samsung S24+

Plant ID
It would be great for many to add a plant ID picture upload. It would keep people from misidentifying plants and mushrooms. I love the app, great idea.

Different access option
Hi! Love the channel and the app so far. My one request is that I HATE subscribing to things. I get that apps like this have continual costs to you so it’s hard to come up with a price that is fair for you and sustainable but I would really like to have a lifetime subscription option.
Sort by Biome
It would be useful to be able to sort the list of foragable plants and fungi in the current month by biome in the main screen. Could select by drop-down menu (for example, could select “forest” “disturbed area”, “prairie”, “marsh”, etc).
